Jacobiasca Formosana is an insect species belonging to the subfamily Typhlocybinae of the family Cicadellidae. Plant hosts include Gossypium species and, notably, Camellia sinensis. The insect, 3-4mm length, stinging and sucking the tea plants, making the yield of tea reduced, used to be treated as the pest and massacred using pesticides. Unexpectedly, the damaged leaves would naturally produce the fragrance of honey and mature fruit after brewing, called Zhe xián. The method of the plantation is eco-friendly but the tea yield is limited. When the consumers like the flavor, and the tea frequently acquires awards from tea competitions, its price starts surging. Jacobiasca Formosana eventually becomes the symbol of the pesticides-free environment.
Low-quality Luby Oolong Tea would be mixed with sugar when the tea leaves are fired to dry. The method is negative to the storage and tea flavor afterward. In fact, our land is so honest that how we treat her will be eventually repaid or returned to ourselves.
